I haven’t blogged for awhile so thought I’d post something that’s been on my heart lately. Nothing new here, I’m not the first person to write about this, won’t be the last, but it’s very important.

Do you live your life in a way that’s worth imitating? Will others see Jesus in you and want to know more about him?

As I study the person of Jesus I’m continually seeing the fact that he showed his disciples how to be like him by simply being who he was in front of them. I reminded a friend of mine this week, before he left for a week of schooling, of the following three words:

OPPORTUNITY –  Are you looking for the numerous opportunities that God puts before you in everyday life where you can have an impact on others with the love of Jesus?

INTENTIONALITY – Are you being intentional to act on those opportunities? Intentional to seek them? Intentional to expect God to provide them?

AVAILABILITY – Are you willing to be available to God and others by opening your life and experiences to them? Are you available through obedience? Are you available through friendships?

These are the areas that I think about often. What do you think? Are you living your life in a way that others will want to imitate you?
